Pink Graffiti

I drive pass this wall on my way to and from the office. I think it's beautiful.  I don't know how long it has been there, but I hope it doesn't get covered up.  I want to rip out all those weeds and sweep away the trash so the rest of the alley in front of it looks just as nice. Or maybe keep the weeds, it adds nice dimension to pictures.

TOP ROCKER

She did it once, but can she do it again?

Of course!! :D Angel rocks!!!

oh so Pretty (pink) Packaging for a Princess

When it comes to my skin and hair, I don't trust just any products, and usually go to salons and costmetic counters and stay away from the drugstore for these purchases. I happened across these pretty bottles a while ago and I thought, oh, how pretty they are! The other day, I stopped to smell them and yummmm, they smelled nice, so I caved and bought them. I have been pleasantly surprised, because they seem to be pretty nice on my hair, too. They don't leave it feeling sliky and smooth but not goopy nor grimy.

Life With No Computer

I've been without my home PC all week. (Scott took it away from me for
upgrades and honestly, when is a computer job ever as simple as it
looked to be in theory?)

A short while ago, I would have be going insane if I was in this
situation! I am surprised by how calm I am without it. Mainly I'm
doing fine is because I have my handy dandy iPhone to keep me feeling
like I am still part of the collective.

So without my PC, I have filled my extra time with the following.

- Playing a lot of guitar hero
- Watching a few movies
- Playing games with Miranda
- Napping after work
- Blogging via email
- Talking on the phone
- Forgetting to check my email (seriously, I seem to be checking it
once in the morning then at dinner home I'm surprised I haven't
thought about it all day and I check it again)
- Trying to Facebook (I don't care too much for the FB iPhone app so I
switch between that, mobile Facebook and the regular FB site in
Safari, then eventually give up)
- Going to bed a little earlier
- Reading (a cheesy chick-lit book that is almost too painful to read.
Second worst book purchase over the past 10 years (the first worst
book is sitll 'The Alchemist'; I didn't make it past page 9) 'Princess
Izzy and the E Street Shuffle'. It was less than five bucks so don't
be judging me!

I haven't checked my rss feeds in ages...

My point is I'm not freaking out about my computer being gone for so
long, which is probably a very good thing. If I was freaking out about
it, I would end up dead, either by (a) anxiety from being computer-
less, or (b) being shot dead by Scott for whining about taking so
long. The computer is being a bitch and if I was too then he'd totally
kill me! Haha

YAY!

I have finally finished every song in Guitar Hero III on medium!
"Through the Fire and Flames" was the only one I could never get all
the way through. I tried it again today and finished I admit it wasn't
with the most impressive stats (72% notes hit, 39 note streak) but at
least I can say I finished it!!! :D

Tired and Wired

I didn't sleep a wink last night. Everytime I was on the brink of
falling asleep I would be violently jerked awake by the feeling that
my heart was stopping and I couldn't breathe. It went on all night.

I know it sounds crazy. I thought so myself the first time it
happened, one night last week. I thought I must have been drinking
caffeine too late in the day.

Today I tried to find a pattern from these two nights. I was talking
to Michy today and she solved it - new allergy pills! I have taken 4
pills over the past 3 weeks, and the other 2 times it was in the
morning. I had been having a few anxiety attacks but I just related it
to back to school stress and stuff.

20 hours later and my heart is still racing, although not as fast as
before. I feel like Jason Statham in Crank. Can't sit still or my
heart will burst. Physically, I am sooo tired but I feel so restless I
want to run but I'd probably have a heart attack or pass out.

(Side note -- Crank 2: High Voltage is scheduled to be released April
2009)

Oh the new allergy pill is called Aerius. The medical ingredient is
desloratadine, and you can bet your socks I will not touch the stuff
again! Although now that I'm coming down a bit, it's kinda groovy zone
to be in while placing race car games on the wii while listening to
the fast beats of Infected Mudhroom. ** kids, don't try this at home**

Easy Listening makes me want to puke

I have no idea what radio station the girls have playing in our area, but I swear, every day I hear the same songs.

Off the top of my head, I recall hearing daily -

"These Dreams" by Heart.... "In a wood full of princes, freedom is a kiss. But the prince hides his face from dreams in the mist." Sure, I loved theis power ballad at one point in time, but that was back in 1985!!

"Black Velvet" by Alannah Myles. Yay Canadian content! Another great song back in the day (1989), but really! to hear it everysingle day in 2008 is not acceptible!

oh! Now they're playing a good song - "Drops of Jupiter" by Train. Whatever happened to Train?

Scott picks out the best presents

I was a little sad one day because my brother was leaving again and stuff.

Scott asked what he could do to cheer me up.

Nothing, I said.

He asked, how about I get you a present?  Who can't be cheered up with a present?

OK!!  I exclaimed, instantly feeling better at the suggestion of a surprise, but not really expecting to get one.

Gimme a few days and I'll come up with something good, he said.

OMG!  Did he ever come up with something good.  A new phone with a fantastic pink case. *dreamy sigh*  one more pink gadget for my collection!

Unsuccessful Day - The best bloopers are a click away

Zombie fighting ninja

I can't sleep.  I had a horrifying dream and it's keeping me awake.  It was the most disturbing dram I had in a long time.

It was black out and I was walking to my car when I saw people smash my window.  They saw me fleeing and chased me, unloading a full clip in my direction as I tried to run into the house.  There were people I knew inside (although IRL, I have no idea who these people are) who went outside to chase the bad guys.  I heard more gunshots and one of the bad guys got into the house.  I was hiding in the kitchen with knives in my hands.  I stabbing him as he was coming around the corer.  He didn't bleed.  It didn't show him down.  I kept cutting into him as he handcuffed my left hand to a chair.  I stabbed him over and over, dragging the knife through his flesh, but he still was not bleeding.

I told Scott about my scary dream.  He said it wasn't scary, it was an awesome dream - that I was a ninja fighting off zombies.  Now I can't stop thinking about his Dead Rising video game where you're a photojournalist who is fighting off zombies in the mall, clubbing them, hacking away and cutting them up with a chainsaw and lawn mower. Ah, no wonder he thought my dream was so freaking awesome.

No Office Visit for Me!

first day of grade 4 Taking Miranda to school went smoothly.  This year was the first problem-free (and stress-free) first day of school.  I don't know if it's a bad thing that it took 5 years to get it that way, or if I'm lucky that it only took 5 years!

Back To School

Today is the first day back to school for Miranda.  Here's hoping for a (relatively) stress-free morning!  I called the school last week to confirm that Miranda would be in a nut-friendly classroom, and she is.  Hopefully everything will go smoothly and I won't have to be one of the problem parents in the office. hehe
