iPhone 4

The iPhone 4 jailbreak isn't out yet so I'm left to mod it the few
ways I can without the jailbreak.

I have changed the carrier name.

Yesterday's fortunes

Hidden in one cookie, were three fortunes.

  1. How about France?  I could go for a trip there.
  2. Green, hmmmmm, maybe I’ll come in to a bunch of money, although our money hasn’t been green for years.
  3. So far I wouldn’t call today a productive day, but I guess it depends on the definition of productive.  At least I didn’t sleep in too late.

And in my second cookie, just one fortune:

Fortune Cookies

I bet I eat more fortune cookies than the average Chinese person!

These are the ones scattered about my desk.  I probably have just as many floating around my house and at the bottom of various purses.

The Adjustment Bureau

Matt Damon, a chick who runs in heels, a gripping love story, and a paranormal agency trying to keep the couple apart – it has to be cool!

I saw a trailer for this in the theatre not too long ago, but the release isn’t scheduled until March 2011.

Best movie I’ve seen in a long time

I saw Inception on Saturday night.  I heard from sources that you shouldn’t be late getting there, and don’t doze off or get up to leave the theatre, in other words, don’t miss a second of it, or you might get lost.

The movie wasn’t hard to watch.  The plot is simple.  Yes, if missed screen time then you might have missed something vital, but the movie was so engaging that I couldn’t see myself leaving my seat.  It is the underlying motive in the movie that will keep you thinking about it as you leave the theatre.  I had a few “I know what’s going to happen next” instances, but it didn’t spoil the movie.  The scene transitions were flawless and the acting was amazing.  It really is as brilliant as everyone is saying!

Plot summary from IMDB (without giving anything away):

Dom Cobb is a skilled thief, the absolute best in the dangerous art of extraction, stealing valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state, when the mind is at its most vulnerable. Cobb's rare ability has made him a coveted player in this treacherous new world of corporate espionage, but it has also made him an international fugitive and cost him everything he has ever loved. Now Cobb is being offered a chance at redemption. One last job could give him his life back but only if he can accomplish the impossible-inception. Instead of the perfect heist, Cobb and his team of specialists have to pull off the reverse: their task is not to steal an idea but to plant one. If they succeed, it could be the perfect crime. But no amount of careful planning or expertise can prepare the team for the dangerous enemy that seems to predict their every move. An enemy that only Cobb could have seen coming.

Wine in a Can

I am drinking wine in a can, a BillyRock Station Chardonnay.  I saw it at the Aligra Wine & Spirits, in West Edmonton Mall. They guy working there said it wasn’t too bad, and for only $5 a can, I decided to give it a try.  Chardonnay isn’t my drink of choice, but in a pinch, this wine will do the trick.  It tastes better than a lot of house wines.

iPad Lite Bright App

I want an iPad just so I can have this app, since I haven’t been able to find an awesome Lite Bright app for the iPhone that looks glowy like this one does.

I guess I’ll have to talk James into downloading it so I can play when I got to visit him and Mum.

I saw this picture on the internet today and thought, there’s no way that isn’t photoshopped!  After a little researching, it turns out that sea slugs really are this beautiful.
