Canada Vignettes: Log Driver's Waltz

We were watching a Molson's I AM CANADIAN video on the internet which ran through images of the 70's and 80's. There was one shot of a log rider and I piped up, Hey! remember that little thingy that used to be on TV as a filler, that started off with the man on the log and turned into a cartoon?? In no time, we had it qued up on youtube. If you had a TV in the 80's then you will remember this film about the girl who wants to marry the log rider over the afflunt men, because he is the best dancing partner she can find. The 3 minute animated film was made by the National Film Board of Canada (go Canada!) in 1979.

For he goes birling down a-down the white water
That's where the log driver learns to step lightly
It's birling down, a-down white water
A log driver's waltz pleases girls completely.
